Wow! So many yummy dinner ideas! Wanda must have made a lot of men fall in love with her.
Ash, I'm telling you I had at least 15 people come up to me and say the cookies were DELICIOUS and asking about them / for the recipe. And people kept going up and grabbing extras! Everyone was talking about them, and my friend Annie said it was one of the best cookies she's ever eaten! There were about 40 people at the party, and when I left after a few hours, they were all gone. I had one and it was soooo satisfying, I will definitely make it again. 10/10!
That is the BEST apple pie I've ever eaten. And my husband loves the coconut cream pie!
I made the zucchini bread! Great success!! The recipe was very straightforward and easy to follow. No notes! A classic, moist, delicious zucchini bread with more than enough to share. Love it!
Can confirm they are insane. Just inhaled one.
It tastes like a dream - so many yummy fruit flavors!
Carrot cake - best frosting I've ever made!
One of my students wrote you an editorial note, and in it she mentioned, "I truly enjoyed editing your recipes! Not only do they sound delicious, but they also seem fairly easy to make, which makes them accessible for a wide audience! I can see busy families enjoying these recipes."
Dudeee it tasted so good. Not joking, some of the best fudge I've ever had.
It is really good! My neighbor had some and said it tasted like it was made at an Italian bakery.
I'm hooked on the 7-Layer Salad, I've made it twice now.
You made me laugh and made me cry. You made frito pie look like a gourmet meal.
My copy arrived today and, I have to say, it is SPECTACULAR!! Your Grandma would be so very proud of the work and love you poured into this. This will be a highly treasured addition to my kitchen, and a very fond memory of our collaboration on the recipes I got to test. Thank you for making me a part of this wonderful gift, not only to your Grandma Wanda, but to everyone who has the good fortune to find themselves the proud owner of their own copy.
I just received the cookbook and oh my gosh...it's beautiful...I am going to go through the recipes and see what new meals/desserts I can make...
Sitting here reading the intro to your book- literally has brought tears to my eyes. This book is one of the coolest fucking projects I’ve ever known anyone to create.
I received your cookbook this morning, and I just finished reading it cover to cover. What a love letter it is to Wanda! My heart filled and spilled out my eyes again and again. It's absolutely beautiful, a true labor of love.
Can’t wait to take it back to the UK for some good American cookin’!
I started crying reading it. Not because there was anything particularly sad, but just that I found it so special, so heartwarming, and so generous that you have gifted your family this homage to them.
I saw the family cookbook you composed in honor of your grandma… what a sweet and absolutely special collection. I really love it, and it’s nostalgic in a way that reminds me of my family too. The love and attention to details and sweet vintage style is so lovely…I’d love to have one in my cookbook collection.
I am from the South, this is the first cookbook I’ve seen in a long time I actually want to make recipes from.
It’s punk but not in an ‘in your face’ kinda way. It has that old zine quality to it.
All cookbooks should be bound like this.
This transcends the cookbook genre.
