THE TEAM:

Ashley Russell was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. After graduating from film school in 2008, Ashley worked as a Costume Designer in the film and television industry for over a decade. She now resides in Portland, Oregon, with her partner Noah Rael, their dog Darby, and cat Boo. Her favorite writers include Kathleen Hanna, Joan Didion, and Julia Wertz. Her favorite cookbooks include The Betty Crocker Cookbook, Foraged and Grown, and her Nana’s recipe box.

Abigail Agersea is the artist, owner, and operator of Sad Puppy Tattoo in Portland, Oregon. She has a degree in painting from the Pacific Northwest College of Art. She and Ashley are, at heart, sisters-in-law. Abigail and her partner Jake Rael are pet parents to Gucci, Nana, Francis, and Harriet.

Vanessa Salvia is a food and beverage reporter in Eugene, Oregon. She provides cookbook services such as copyediting and indexing. Outside work, she often sips at a winery or brewery with her husband or takes their two puggles, Marco and Polo, for a walk.

When Brandon Garcia isn’t tattooing at Rose & Dagger or Dicks Place, you can find him with his partner Hanna and their dog Choso, walking through Portland parks and hanging at pool halls - especially if there’s a video poker machine nearby. Originally from San Diego, Brandon has been drawing for as long as I have known him, and gives Ribbons the Y2K stylistic edge it was missing.
